Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was conceived in Minsk. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father who plays hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk, Belarus on May 5th, 1998. Aryna is the holder of twelve WTA Singles titles. One that was awarded the title 'Grand Slam' in the Australian Open 2023. Doubles is another sport where she is a pro. It was the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both taken by Elise Mertens. She also achieved an incredible Sunshine Double in 2019, winning in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. Only four women's doubles couples achieve this feat. There were only four couples that achieved this feat during women's doubles. After winning the Melbourne doubles event in February 2021 and gaining the doubles title, she managed rise up the rankings and take over the top spot on the list of that particular specialty. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis star, played with her during her 2018 season to the end and part of the 2020 season. The pair also briefly worked with Dieter Kindlmann between August and September 2020. She has been trained by her hero Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are among her greatest idols.
